Pressure sensors (pressure gauges) are widely used in any hydraulics, including in systems for transferring and distributing fan coil coolant. They serve both for visual control of parameters by a person (during adjustment and maintenance of systems), and for the formation of signals that control various automation. Since it is often necessary to measure both pressure and liquid temperature at the same point in the pipeline, pressure sensors can be combined with thermometers - in a common housing, and most importantly - with a common fitting. This is economical and requires fewer connections to be sealed. Depending on the equipment used and the applied piping scheme, pressure gauges or combined thermomanometers are installed on the supply and return pipes of the common coolant line (immediately behind the shut-off valve), directly at the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger, sometimes both before and after the circulation pump. That is up to five pressure sensors for each fan coil unit. But more often simplified schemes are used.

Today, there is a trend towards standardization and unification all over the world. This also applies to measuring instruments, sensors, etc. Mounting dimensions and technical specifications (far from being complete in commercial catalogs) can be the same for products even from different countries. But this does not guarantee their real practical interchangeability.
