Manufactures and supplies electric motors for use in commercial refrigeration and HVAC applications, this segment is better known as "HVAC-R".

The history of the ELCO group began in 1954, when the Colombo family organized the company Elettromeccanica F.lli Colombo di Vittorio for the production of electric motors for small electrical appliances in Italy.

 Over the years, the ELCO Group has made a name for itself as a leading manufacturer of electric motors for commercial refrigeration applications. The ELCO group is currently one of the leaders in the HVAC-R product sector.

1982 YEAR

The first plant of the ELCO group was opened abroad, in Spain. Subsequently, a plant was established in Brazil in 1998 and in China in 2002.

Elco has sales offices in Russia, UAE, Singapore, Mexico and Colombia.

1998 YEAR

ELCO introduced its first electronically commutated DC motor, or ECM, and the motor quickly gained approval from a significant number of HVAC-R equipment manufacturers due to its ability to reduce energy costs.

2010 YEAR

ELCO is part of the American corporation Regal Beloit, thanks to which it has been able to expand its presence in North America, Australia and South Africa.

ELCO engines are currently sold in over 80 countries worldwide through a dense network of local agents and distributors.

 The ELCO Group employs about 800 people, of which about 160 work at the Inzago plant, located between Bergamo and Milan, with an area of ​​about 40,000 square meters.
